Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of the Aurelius & Cole website and the submission of any preliminary enquiry through it. Use of the site or submission of the enquiry form constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree with any provision, please do not use the site or submit an enquiry.
Nature of services
Aurelius & Cole is a financial-recovery consultancy registered in Germany. We assist clients in preparing and pursuing claims to recover funds, and where appropriate refer matters to accredited partner advocates (advocaat / Rechtsanwalt / advokat) in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark for litigation. We do not, of ourselves, provide regulated legal services — any such services are delivered by separately regulated partner advocates under their own engagement letter signed with you.
Free assessment
The free assessment is a preliminary review of the situation based on the information you have provided. It does not, of itself, create a contractual relationship and is not a guarantee that we will accept the case. We reserve the right to decline a matter where the evidence is insufficient, the loss falls below our threshold or no realistic recovery channel remains.
Fees (no recovery — no fee)
- The initial assessment is always provided free of charge;
- If we accept a matter, fees are documented in a written engagement letter signed by you in advance;
- For qualifying matters we operate on a success-fee basis — between 20 % and 30 % of funds actually recovered. Without a recovery, you owe us nothing;
- Third-party costs (court fees, notary fees, forensic specialists) are disclosed and agreed in advance.
No guarantee of outcome
The outcome of a recovery matter depends on factors outside our control: the payment channel, the broker's jurisdiction and licensing status, the age of the dispute, the responsiveness of banks and regulators. The closed-file examples shown on the site are illustrative only and do not constitute a promise of any particular outcome. We commit to professional effort and transparent communication — not to a specific monetary result.
Your obligations
- To provide accurate and complete information about the situation;
- Not to initiate parallel recovery attempts through other intermediaries without disclosing this to us;
- To supply documentary evidence reasonably requested in good time;
- To comply with applicable AMLD5 and KYC requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the total fees actually received by us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We accept no liability for indirect, consequential or reputational loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.
